Firecom designs, engineers and markets fire suppression systems based on an innovative extinguishing agent, a condensed potassium salt aerosol that can extinguish Class A, B and C fires without damaging electronic and mechanical equipment.
At its plant in Paliano (FR), the company, unique in Italy, handles every stage of processing. Its skilled technicians work with a fleet of machines that is always on the cutting edge, with results that combine technology, professional expertise and craftsmanship.
Today, Firecom is in the market with fire protection systems for civil, automotive and marine systems, and maintains strong business relationships with important national and international partners.

In June, Firecom Automotive was acquired by Eng. Andrea Maria Kappler, a figure who had already been permanently present within the company for several years, the right-hand man and point of reference of the old management. RK Italia is born: a Firecom Automotive project at the forefront of the difficult phase of the Covid-19 National Health Emergency. Production of protective panels that are a valuable contribution to the protection of public health, making it possible to limit direct contact between individuals and related contagion, along with the use of masks.

The AK0746 bus fire suppression system is among the few in Europe to obtain the current R107 regulation approval. The regulation requires a fire suppression system to be mandatory on all newly manufactured vehicles.

With the birth of Firecom Automotive, the company permanently embraces the trucking industry. The new entity absorbs all activities, skills and certifications already acquired, and continues to operate in all areas of aerosol firefighting systems use. It expands and consolidates its presence in the international market.

While other firefighting gases are banned, the aerosol produced by Firecom turns out to be one of the few environmentally friendly ones that do not damage the ozone layer and do not affect the greenhouse effect. Non-toxicity tests are repeated and validated. In the same year, it enters the international market for the first time.

Specific needs of the Italian market prompted the company to design and produce its fire protection systems "in house": everything is made in the company's laboratories. Aerosol systems for environments, boats and vehicles are engineered, although the company initially specializes in civil systems.

In just a few years, the company obtains from the laboratories of La Sapienza University of Rome tests for environmental friendliness and non-toxicity of the product. In addition, a pioneer in the aerosol sector, Firecom certifies at the Tesi Laboratory, which is specialized and authorized by the Ministry of the Interior for the fire-fighting sector, the radial dispensing product line, based on the reference standard UNI ISO 10877-1, in force at the time the test is carried out.
